Driving the global planning function for all Celgard plants across our network-- including three sites in Charlotte, Shanghai and Ochang -- you will understand short/long-term demand and global capacity and use that insight to optimize processes for raw material procurement and inventory planning. You will be responsible for on-time delivery and capacity planning and provide strategic decision-making support on which sites should manufacture which products.
To be a good fit for this opportunity, you will bring a track record of success in developing systems and processes for a multi-site fast-paced environment. Our complex SKU portfolio (in the hundreds) is customized to specific customer needs and you'll also need the interpersonal savvy to interface with customers and with cross-functional groups throughout the organization.
What Else You'll Bring to the Table
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering , Business Management, Production Operations or related field of study.
Minimum 8+ years of progressive production/capacity/sales & operations planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
A demonstrated ability to provide leadership through influence, and facilitate dynamic, cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding communications skills, both oral and written.
Strong project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to drive multiple competing priorities.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
Ability and willingness to travel (about 25%) to mostly international destinations.
Preferred but not required:
Six Sigma, lean manufacturing and value engineering experience.
Experience in film industry or logistics.

At our Charlotte headquarters, you will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and oversee 1 Production Scheduling Analyst and 1 Inventory Analyst. We'll look to you to roll up your sleeves and become very familiar with our complex SKU portfolio, planning processes and systems to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
During the first year, you will focus on accomplishing the following goals:
Drive on-time delivery and optimize capacity planning.
Provide decision-making support on future site selection for new facility.
In general, your responsibilities are to:
Collate and analyze production data, estimate human and material resource requirements, determine machine and operator loads, prepare production schedules, monitor production activities, and revise schedules to meet production targets.
Drive short term and long term capacity planning for the site.
Analyze complex engineering plans, contracts, and production specifications to produce schedules and production plans and estimate the human resources, tools and equipment needed to manufacture products.
Oversee inventory management and control, warehousing, transportation & distribution as well as procurement, customer service and customs, etc.
