Optimize global planning and scheduling processes to create a world class manufacturing planning environment at Celgard: we are a recognized global leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing battery separators that are used in high performance lithium battery markets.

Driving the global planning function for all Celgard plants across our network -- Charlotte, Shanghai and Ochang -- you will understand short/long-term demand and global capacity and use that insight to optimize processes for raw material procurement and inventory planning. You will be responsible for on-time delivery and capacity planning and provide strategic decision-making support on which sites should manufacture which products.

At our Charlotte headquarters, you will report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain and oversee one Production Scheduling Analyst and 1 Inventory Analyst. We'll look to you to roll up your sleeves and become very familiar with our complex SKU portfolio, planning processes and systems to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

Proprietary Celgard trilayer membranes are a leading industry standard in rechargeable lithium battery applications. They are typically used in electronic applications such as notebook computers, cellular telephones, digital cameras, and other high performance devices. In addition, Celgard is the global leader in supplying battery separators for disposable lithium batteries used in photographic equipment, medical devices, and various military applications. Other energy storage technologies that use Celgard battery separators include vented nickel-cadmium aircraft batteries, zinc-air hearing aid batteries, and supercapacitors.

Polypore's flat sheet and hollow fiber membranes are used in specialized applications that require the removal or separation of various materials from liquids, primarily in the ultrafiltration and microfiltration markets.
